TSUCI's volunteer work for victims in NRG shelter center was widely reported.

The hurricane Harvey attacked Houston last week. Although Texas Southern University was impacted, TSU family members tried their best to help recover the campus. Apart from caring for the campus, Texas Southern University Confucius Institute(TSUCI) also tried their best to help people get back on their feet. Their deeds was reported by media.

Since August 30th to September 1st, Texas Southern University Confucius Institute (TSUCI) immediately organized a service team to join the relief work in the Houston NRG Shelter Center. They helped translate for Asian-Americans, register victims’ information and carry luggage. They also brought joy and hope to the victims by wearing the panda costume and playing a panda.

exas Southern University Confucius Institute’s spirit has gained high recognition from the public. Their volunteer spirit was reported by Southern Chinese Daily News, World Hall of fame network, Confucius Institute and TSU’s E-news.
