TSUCI celebrates Black History Month

February 22, 2017

For Black History Month, Texas Southern University held a series of activities in which the Confucius Institute, Department of Foreign Languages, and the History department actively participated in by organizing the "Africa Cultural world "forum.

The Department of History and foreign language students brought wonderful Chinese and African cultural performances to the production. Professor Fa Lina carefully prepared illustrations and materials to help students understand the friendly relations between China and Africa.

Everyone watched traditional African song and dance routines after tasting the South African cuisine. The students of the History and Foreign Language department introduced the development of African culture in French and Western countries, and cultures all over the world.

TSUCI has been actively involved in campus activities since its inception, and has gained more awareness of local culture while spreading the Chinese culture throughout Houston. Our desire is to seek common ground while reserving differences, common prosperity, and world peace!
