Confucius Institute at the Texas Southern University "New Year, spring" TSU campus Spring Festival, Lantern Festival activities

February 15, 2017, the Confucius Institute at Texas Southern University and TSU campus teachers and students came together to celebrate the "New Year, spring" Spring Festival and Lantern Festival experience activities. Confucius Institute volunteers from Texas Southern University are involved in the organization and preparation of activities.
After the Chinese culture experience, volunteers for students prepare a different cultural experience. They make dumplings, clip beans, write calligraphy, and guess the riddles in the four activities. After the students experience the four activities, they get free fried rice and Spring rolls. In addition, the lottery during the event also attracted a lot of students to participate in the Confucius Institute. Students prepared a lot of beautiful gifts, to send students New Year's blessing.
Participating students have said that was their first time to participate in such a Spring Festival celebration, the first attempt to dumplings, writing calligraphy and chopsticks folder with soybeans, at the same time, they also learned a lot of Chinese, such as "Hello", "Thank you "Goodbye" and so on. Students are very happy to experience the traditional Chinese Spring Festival activities, hope to contact more Chinese culture, a more in-depth understanding of China.
